Dracanian Territory

There are two main types of people in the Dracanian Island.

Dragons: These monstrosities are the brunt of all offensive force directed against the Dracanians. They are fully grown within ten years of birth, and can grow to be the size of a large hill within one-hundred. Their scales are resistant to all types of damage, physical or magical, but a persistent attacker may be able to penetrate or slip beneath the scales. Weakspots vary from creature to creature. Capable of flight.

Serpents: These much smaller, slender lizards are gentle, submissive creatures that the Dragon's fight fiercely to protect. They are humanoid, scaled, and magical, but harmless, and easy to overpower, if only because they will not fight back. Harming a Serpent is seen as disgusting, and killing one is unforgivable. Entire flocks of Dragons have been stirred to berserking rage when learning of a Serpent's murder. Serpents tend to travel in close-knit schools of four-or-five.

The color of a Dracanian matters:

Black: Blacks are the most cruel Dragons, and conversely the most gentle of Serpents. As a dragon they prefer to horde pure coinage, instead of simply valuable things. They have a breath weapon that is acidic, and can burn through almost anything. As a Serpent, they are able to polish any metal to a mirror sheen, including iron.

Blue: Blues tend to be more condescending than outright cruel as dragons, and as Serpents the tend to be the most kind. Though if a Blue dragon makes a friend, they are friends for life. Blues in general are typically better parents than others, and like to hoard sapphires over anything else. They excel at aeronautics better than any other Dracanian. As a Serpent, they are easy to fall in love with, and easy to fall for others. Their weapon is lightning, and Serpents use it as a form of power.
